The Ringly ring technology is a fabulous piece even though its technology is not that advanced. Apart from offering notifications, the ring is only water resistant but that doesn’t mean that it is 100% waterproof. It shouldn’t be in water for long period of time or risk damaging it.
Notifications
The device is solely designed to notify you of notifications on your mobile phone. It notifies you through an LED feedback or a haptic. This is done through connecting the device to your smartphone through Bluetooth. Installing the Ringly app is the first step and then connecting the wring is the second and final step. It will allow you to receive Ringly notifications for a stretch of 20-30 feet radius.
Ringly App
The Ringly app is downloaded from the android and iOS app store and installed on your phone and then connecting it via Bluetooth with the ring. To connect, switch on the Bluetooth after installing on the phone and the ring. Select connect on the Ringly app to connect with the ring and a pairing notification will appear. Pair the app with the ring making it possible for you as the user to customize the apps notification features to your liking. Remember, the gray color depicts that you want no LED color associated with a certain notification on your phone. The pink LED colour on the other hands means that the device and the Ringly ring are not connected.
Battery
The Ringly ring has potential in keeping power. It has an almost two to three days battery life depending on the number of phone notifications you have and those received in a day. The benefit of this is its simple to carry elegant and stylish charging box, which makes it hard to lose the ring in any situation. The uniqueness of the situation is how small the ring battery is but I am glad since a bigger or larger ring would be at our disposal if not for it. Charging the ring takes around 4 hours and the ring charging box acts like a power back and can hold ring charge for over a full week.
