Introduction
Samsung’s upcoming Gear smartwatch will come with a brand new feature that we think is one of the best improvements on smartwatches. This feature is not the circular face of the watch, but the option to rotate the bezel of the Samsung Gear.
Rotating Bezel
Apple’s smartwatch, the Apple Watch has a similar improvement as Samsung has announced, however, on the device only the crown can be rotated that serves some specific functions. On Samsung’s smartwatch, you can rotate the whole bezel, which will give several more functions and features to the gadget, we can only imagine what Samsung will get out of this.
Some analogue watches have the option to rotate the bezel, however, it is only giving them some features. For example, diving watches has the rotating bezel feature since the manufacturers want users to keep tracking the air supply the diver has. This is a pretty interesting function, however, this on a smartwatch will do miracles.
Samsung is a very creative company and if they use an improvement from another manufacturer, like in the case of rotating bezels, since the company has used the function of diving analogue watches in smartwatches, some very interesting things will happen. The company is one of the leaders in the world in smartphone and television industries. This is quite an achievement that a company can make since these are those consumer products that most people buy very often. The latter markets have the most competition all around the world from other companies. And, of course, there’s Apple and Google. The companies that want to be involved in everything. However, in the smartphone industry Google seem to be helping Samsung’s work by the improvement of the Android operating system that Samsung phones and devices are using. However, Apple is doing just the opposite since the company has its own branded phone devices. Of course, you know which are those devices since they are the iPhones. The iPhone is one of the most popular mobile brands in the world, if not the most popular. Samsung had and still has a hard work ahead of them since the US-based monolith won’t give up his position in the market easily. Apple is a stubborn company to deal with, especially nowadays. They have given up some space to other companies (by fault) in the past 1-2 years, however, they are planning to regain their popularity. Samsung’s job is pretty hard if you see.
Here’s a new market for big companies to compete in the market of smartwatches and wearable devices. My prediction is that this market will have such competition as the one with smartphones in it. Just see the players that are in the market: Apple, Samsung, Microsoft and many other companies. Luckily for the latter companies Google is not involved yet. However, it will be a huge fear for them that the latter company would involve to such activities and gain a huge market share for themselves. Why do companies fear Google? The company has proved its creativity and willingness during the years. Google, just like as Apple nowadays, comes up with different and different ideas that have the potential to revolutionize a complete market.
Analogue Watches Versus Smart Watches
People, especially men like analogue watches. They like to wear them, they like to do every activity they can wearing it. They also like looking at the time with a watch on their wrists, it makes them feel pleasure. Of course, since watches are like jewels for women. It gives class and a great look for both men and women. However, with the market of smart watches opened, we should think about using analogue watches anymore. I cannot imagine how Swiss manufacturers are feeling at the moment. If someone would not know, Swiss companies make the world’s best analogue watches. They look beautiful, the design is beautiful, however, they cost so much that only the rich can afford to buy them. However, there will be such smart watches in the future that will cost a lot and will fit the taste of rich people. Apple has already made a watch that is from gold and it is part of the smart watch technology.
