As most of you have heard, smartwatches become more and more popular among people. They are not only becoming popular among ordinary people since more and more companies are seeing the business chance in the devices and are starting the manufacturing process of their own branded smartwatches. The biggest consumer electronics giants have started to make the first of these wearable gadgets, however, now some of the big traditional watchmakers have also announced to make their own smartwatches. Tag Heuer has done so, so as Swatch, however, we are only interested in the latter since that company is the main point of our article.
The New Smartwatch by Swatch
As the first smartwatches have been released many people have realized something. This thing that they have realized (including myself) is that people really need Swiss manufacturers to enter the market of wearable gadgets. Apple and Samsung can make great smartwatches, however, those devices won’t be top notch since in the category of watches (including smartwatches) only the big Swiss manufacturers can provide the best quality of watches. When Apple has released its gold version of Apple Watch, Swiss manufacturers have realized that they need to get into the market of smartwatches before it is too late. They have seen there is a need for luxury wearable gadgets and many people would buy such things. I think in a 4-5 years’ timeframe there won’t be too much traditional watches that people are still using since those devices will be switched to smartwatches by the same manufacturers that have made the older ones. That’s like the switch between the old and the digital versions of the watches, but now it will be the switch between traditional and smartwatches. Swiss manufacturers have always proved to people that they can make greatly manufactured watches. I don’t think making and setting up a plan to build a new version of the watch, which would be a smartwatch, could cause any problems to these companies. The Swiss have a tradition to make watches and we can declare that they make the best ones in the world. That’s one of the reasons that people in Switzerland are still living in great life conditions. They always strived to make quality products and they did that because they believed in something and wanted to do something big.
As the introductory part of this article says, Swatch, a pretty popular Swiss watch manufacturer is planning to make a smartwatch and release it in August this year. The company is not only planning to release the device that is only compatible with one operating system, but the new watch that has been announced by Swatch will be possible to use with both and Android smartphone and a Windows Phone one. That’s a great improvement since the watch manufacturer company can open up to not only 1 market, but two markets. Both the firm and the customers can benefit from this new method of business. How can customers benefit from this? They don’t have to buy an Android device when they have Windows Phones, they can use the watch along with both. How can Swatch benefit from this? Since they have planned their watch to be compatible with both Android and Windows Phone, more people will buy the device since they have opened up to the Android Play Store and both the Windows Store.
Swatch is also planning to introduce a brand new technology in smartwatches. This tech will be a chip, which will enable you to pay online one your smartwatch! Swatch has announced that the watch will surely support Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards.
